This is the final post in regards to my character, i've gone with a greek ruin background and added some mist, as well as messing around with the levels to give it a war type of feel/look.

his sword and shield are both made using futuristic materials and textures, with dirt thrown on to it to make it look worn. the ram on his shield represents ares so you know who it is. im happy with how this piece ended up because i feel that the background and the effect that i used has made it look serious.

this piece is what my charter looks like after I've finished him. I've added the sketches onto it as well as placing it on a scroll texture to make it look Greek and make it look old.

Character development

After the previous post showing some of the work on my character i am going to put some more up for you to see and hopefully give me feedback on.

character development

Here are a few pieces of work which were in progress at the time they where taken.
they show what order i built up the layers in.

drawing characters

for one of my units i had to create my own character, preferably a futuristic version of a mythic god. im not going to lie im not the biggest drawer in the world but i do try. i chose to do ares the Greek god of war. i chose him because i felt id be able to do something special with him. i had a lot of ideas running through my mind but the one i managed to put to paper was this:
i took inspiration when i was looking through different imitations of him. here are a few:

Room complete

Its been a while since my last post so i'll publish my finished room. it took me a while to figure out how to make the blanket on the bed fall nicely. i choose to keep the units glossy as that's what they are like in real life. More to come soon :D
